A bit about us..

Ocean Trail is an exciting new business venture for the Avensys LTD family.

Avensys was established in 2000 by husband and wife team Markus & Samantha Wood.
The business has grown into a 42,000sqft premises and employs over 30 staff. It is recognised as one of the South East premiere companies winning over 15 major industry awards including Retailer of the year two years running. Avensys operates in Commercial, Events and Consumer Retail environments, bringing AV to corporate and end user customers alike.

Avensys remains a family run and owned business with customers as the forefront of everything we do.  We are renowned for outstanding customer service and have a extremely high rate of repeat customers. 

We are delighted to now announce the launch of our sister company Ocean Trail for Luxury VW Campervan & Motorhome Hire. This is complete with a full range of products to purchase from all the main brands including Dometic, Campingaz, Kampa, Coleman, Vango and a range of brands for the outdoor cooking experience such as Cadac, Cobb, Campingaz & Ridgemonkey all available to buy in our Superstore in Manor royal, Crawley.

Why have we Launched Ocean Trail? 

Markus has always had a huge passion for all VW’s and that passion has spilled out to camping, exploring and road trips. Markus spent his childhood camping in his parents VW Bay Window Type 2 white and orange campervan and VW Type 3 Campervan spending time on road trips to Scandinavia and around the UK. Markus went on to convert his first VW Type 3 campervan in 1989 and since then has owned various VW California’s, VW Self-Conversions, VW Caravelle’s and VW Spilt Screen Camper. Five Years ago, he converted his first Remio Luxury VW Campervan and will convert a range of VW highline Vans this year.

Sam spent her childhood holidaying in a 1975 VW Bay Window Type 2 white and orange campervan traveling around the UK and spending many days on the family yacht.

Markus, Sam and their daughters consequently have as a family spent half-terms and summer holidays in either a camper van or tent come rain or shine adventuring as much as possible. Loving the simple life and the freedom these holidays provide whatever the weather (they have found some of the best memories have been made involving crazy UK summer weather!).

During the summer of 2020 Sam and Markus reflected on their business and looked at ways to diversify while still providing a business that truly encompassed a passion. Hence Ocean Trail was born to help bring adventure to life for 2021. In September 2020 Markus ordered 8 brand new VW campervans and Bailey Motorhomes for the 2021 season for our rental fleet. The team will also convert VW T6.1 Campervans for 2021 Season.

Ocean Trail is based in Crawley, West Sussex, just 5 minutes from Gatwick Airport. The business is based at the Avensys head office: Avensys House in Crawley's Manor Royal Business District. Ocean Trail is fully owned by Avensys Ltd.

The Avensys family continue to work towards the same mission and vision as they have for the past 21 years and we look forward to continue to offer a consistently high level of fast and friendly service provided by skilled and experienced staff in an exciting and interactive environment.
